Sorry my email is late. We have a senior couple in the YSA Ward, the Excels. And they took us to the beach today! It was so nice!

We had an awesome Skype call with all the STLs this week, their are 5 STLs going home at the end of this transfer so we made the topic "what I wished I had known when I first became an STL" it turned into a wonderful discussion on the things we had learned over our transfers as leaders. What I shared is the importance of being vulnerable to Christ. Vulnerable towards his love and direction, always looking for His guidance. Really becoming dependant on Him. And then furthering that to the sisters we serve. Being humble towards feedback and showing them our weakness and our dependency on the Savior. Oft times we think that a leader should not show weakness when in reality showing our weakness can be the most powerful way to strengthen others. That's something that has taken my whole mission to figure out, but it has been what's changed me.
So on the day of my birthday they had a YSA barbecue, and yes mom, they did sing me happy birthday...thanks to the elders who ratted me out. In the morning Sister Howell decorated the apartment and made me a massive cookie for me. it was fun :) I can honestly say that this has been one of my best birthdays! We had weekly planning where I got to reflect on the amazing people we are teaching and working with, then we went street contacting and set up 4 lessons within an hour! Then went to the branch activity! It was a great day! And of course I really appreciate the wonderful cards and packages I recieved! Everyone made me feel very very loved. Thanks for thinking of me on this day. I especially loved the photo album with everyone's pictures in it! It was so fun! I look at it all the time now haha
I'm sorry but I am going to be making this email a bit short cause I don't have a lot of time but I love you all! Thanks for all the love you show to me, i always appreciate it! I'm on an iPad right now so I can't send my pictures but I'm gonna take one on here of my sweet new Chinese name tag I ordered... We have 7 Chinese investigators right now so I decided that I deserve it haha
