So Monday we got to go to Peggys Cove with a couple missionaries who were going home. (they came to the mission half-way through a transfer and so they go home the same way haha fret not, they were not going home early or anything of that nature) And that was lots of fun, President has a sweet camera and took a bunch of pictures of all of us!
On Friday night we went to the University with the YSA and we handed out cookies to all the students that were studying for finals. Each package of cookies had a sticker on it with a little inspirational phrase like "You can do it!" or "Christmas break is right around the corner!" and then a pass along card that goes to christmas.mormon.org, it was lots of fun! a couple times we went into the "quiet zone" areas of the library and so we couldn't talk... so we just slid the cookies to them and wouldn't even say anything... i felt like i was slipping kids drugs, it was hilarious.
So President and sister Pratt were supposed to speak in sacrament meeting and give the 3rd hour training in both the Halifax family ward and YSA Branch. But due to an emergency, President couldn't go and so at 8pm saturday night we get a call saying that we need to fill in for him... woohooo! So i was up till 11:30 writing a talk and making a trianing for 3rd hour and then spoke in church and did 3rd hour with the Elders.... it was a good time. Now i realize that 11:30 does not sound very late to any of you... but i have not stayed up that late in a long time.... and i still had to wake up at 6am to finish... I also realize that when it comes to losing sleep i have turned into a wimp about it... but this was a struggle for me okay....
The work is pressing forward in the good ol' east coast. Hope everyone is getting ready for the christmas season! If you have not shared the christmas video on christmas.mormon.org DO IT. it is awesome and needs to be shared with everyone!!
Love you!
Sister Lambert
